Mike Rutherford WMMS Interview during the Selling England Tour

Mike Rutherford talks about the previous show. They talk about the visual aspect of the show and how dangerous that could be as it might clash with the audience’s thoughts and experiences. They also discuss the use of mirrorballs or flashes and little things to punctuate certain songs. It also follows a re-release of Trespass in America, but Mike is hesitant about the release and performing that early material. The theatrics of Peter on stage versus off stage.

Interview: Debbie Ullman & unknown second host (Potentially John Gorman)

Station: WMMS, Cleveland

Date: 29th April 1974

Source: DC Interview Series 2 – Genesis Movement

Edited in Logic (EQ changes and frequency removal, Limited and Compressed slightly). Exported to mp3 for file size reasons. Noise removal or data compression had been applied previously to our EQ changes and thus there is a ‘glassy’ quality. There’s also a lot of background noise in the studio audible.
