Another Day In Paradise / Heat On The Street

Another Day In Paradise is a song which is basically about the ignorance of poverty and how the gulf between comfortable and being on the street is too wide. The music video for this song is rather stark and it quotes some harrowing statistics.

The song has gone on to be performed on every Phil Collins tour since its release with Phil Collins often having homeless charities inside the venue so that concert attendee’s could put some money in the bucket, Phil would often make such a speech even going as far as to say don’t buy a Phil Collins t shirt put the money in the bucket instead.

Another Day In Paradise was released on the 4th November 1989 reaching number 2 in the UK charts and staying in the charts for 11 weeks.
